MyThornbury is the website for Thornbury where you'll find information about events, organisations and businesses in and around the town.

Two main features of the website are the events calendar and the directory listings. The combination of these allows us to build up-to-date and informative pages for specific topic areas, such as in the example below:

Pages are automatically updated every night, so the list of events is always current, plus we change some of the scenery, rotating adverts and changing the picture across the top of the page, so that the page is fresh and new each time you visit.

We're building a large and regular user base - we launched in 2006, currently have 45,000 page hits a month, and traffic is still climbing rapidly. Because the site is always changing and up-to-date, rather than visiting just the once, people visit time and time again.

We have regular competitions featured on the site, and we're adding new sections and features all the time.

We currently offer two main methods of advertising on the site: graphical display ads (either taking turns in certain advertising spots, or in a prime spot on the right-hand side of every page), or text ads in topic-based directory pages.
