Love and Cholera take hold in 1920s China in The Painted Veil, a classic melodrama by W Somerset Maughan. Edward Norton and Naomi Watts breath new life into this web of intrigue, as the cheating wife is hauled off to an isolated village ravaged by cholera in an unusual punishment by her scientist partner in a loveless marriage. A visual delight amid the pain and suffering of a dying people and failing marriage.
Each film will cost £3 if you become a TPH member for £30. Entrance to individual films will cost £5 if you are not a member.
